Dr. Alison Calhoun, DVM
Chief of Staff
Dr. Alison Calhoun was born and raised in Plano, Texas. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Midwestern University in Phoenix, Arizona (Yes, the one vet at Josey Ranch that’s not an Aggie!)
Dr. Calhoun has always loved animals, but it wasn’t until college when she started volunteering at the local animal shelter that she decided that caring for animals was her calling. She then was a veterinary assistant for two years prior to attending veterinary school, and is happy to finally be back in the Dallas area after living all over the U.S. for the past ten years.
Dr. Calhoun has a special interest in internal medicine, clinical pathology, dentistry, and preventative medicine. Client education is extremely important to Dr. Calhoun, and she enjoys spending time with clients addressing their questions and concerns in order to ensure their four-legged companions are happy and healthy.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband (John), dogs (Charlee and Remington), and cat (Delilah). She also loves going to concerts, sporting events (Rock Chalk Jayhawk!) and watching The Office reruns.
